A landmark partnership between NFG SA and the Danpullo family has produced Danpullo Capital SA, a new Cameroon-based investment holding company designed to manage family assets while pursuing long-term investment opportunities across Central Africa. The agreement, which spans Geneva, Douala and the Cayman Islands, reflects the increasingly sophisticated structures through which African entrepreneurial capital is being organised and deployed.
NFG SA enters the arrangement through its subsidiary, Kessner Capital Management Ltd., the group’s dedicated African investment vehicle. Together, the partners intend to build a platform operating across financial services, telecommunications, infrastructure and real estate. The firm will begin operations with the Baba Ahmadou Group as its inaugural client, overseeing the strategic management of that group’s assets while remaining a legally independent entity with its own institutional mandate.
Keith Beekmeyer, Chief Executive Officer of NFG SA, described the venture as a union of established African entrepreneurship and international financial expertise, with Kessner Capital Management positioned to mobilise long-term capital and deliver lasting economic impact across the continent. Bruno-Maurice Monny, Chief Executive Officer of Danpullo Capital, emphasised that Africa’s economic future will be shaped by combining knowledgeable local leadership with access to global financial resources — a sequence whose order carries real strategic weight.
Zayd Baba Danpullo, Executive Chairman of Danpullo Capital SA and son of founder Baba Ahmadou Danpullo, presented the platform as the institutional expression of the family’s long-term ambitions in regional emerging markets. His appointment underlines the generational dimension of the project: the transition from a founder-led business network to a professionally governed investment institution is among the most consequential stages in the life of any major commercial group, and the decision to operate as a legally independent entity with a distinct investment mandate is a meaningful structural commitment to that goal.
Central Africa provides the strategic backdrop. The region holds substantial natural resources, a growing population and considerable infrastructure potential, yet it remains constrained by fragmented markets and limited access to long-term domestic financing. A Cameroon-based institution with international reach is well positioned to combine deep regional knowledge with disciplined capital allocation across sectors — telecommunications, banking, transport infrastructure and commercial real estate — that are foundational to economic sovereignty.
The establishment of Danpullo Capital SA is ultimately significant not merely for the assets it will manage, but for the institutional model it seeks to demonstrate: that African capital can be organised, governed and deployed on terms set within the continent rather than imported from outside it. The partnership between NFG SA, Kessner Capital Management and the Danpullo family reflects the continued institutionalisation of African entrepreneurial capital. By combining independent governance, regional expertise and international financial capabilities within a Cameroon-based platform, Danpullo Capital SA is positioned to support long-term investment, strengthen strategic sectors and contribute to the economic development of Central Africa.
